Introduction:
AI-generated videos are flooding platforms like TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. In the past, many people wanted to create content but didn't know how. AI has lowered these barriers, allowing anyone to produce videos, music, and novels with just a few clicks. Initially, this sparked serious concerns about job losses for human artists.
But a few months in, something unexpected is happening: people are growing bored of 'average' AI content. They're starting to crave the unique touch of human-made, long-form content again. In this blog, I'll explore the article “Will AI Replace Human Creativity?” and discuss how people are actually using AI for content creation. and figure out why human is still matter.
What is the AI Video generator?
Before we start the deep discussion, let's define an AI video generator to make the reading easier. What is an AI video generator? It means that when you make a video, you use AI to automatically generate it with only a text prompt, images, and audio (optional).
How It Works: My Experiment with Google Gemini
To understand how people use an AI generator to create content, I decided to experience it firsthand using Google Gemini. I started by generating an image with a specific prompt: “Italian Greyhound puppy, one ear has a white pattern, front shot.” Once I had the base image, I added another element by prompting Gemini to put a vest on the dog. The process was surprisingly simple—just a few text prompts, and the AI generated exactly what I described.

First prompt: Create a cute puppy!

Additionally, I gave him a vest because it's cold here!
After creating the image, I moved to the next step: generating a video. I prompted Gemini with: "A cute dog wearing skates, skating along the Rideau Canal in Ottawa, Canada. The dog looks happy and energetic, wearing a small helmet and protective gear. The scene is bright and lively, with clear water and scenic surroundings. The dog is saying: 'Oh yes, I really like to skate here. It's awesome."
Within moments, Gemini produced a complete video based on this description. And you can check the result below:
What problem does it solve?
Do you like my 10-minute create video? If you say yes and you want to try it, just search how to create an AI Animal video. On YouTube, there are tons of tutorials you can find. As you can see, AI reduces the barrier to creating videos for people with no video-making background. Thanks to AI, people can express their brilliant ideas.
Summary
Based on the article "Will AI Replace Human Creativity?" Bernard Marr, the Author, insists that AI treats human's creativity; on the other hand, we still have new opportunities. In short, AI changes human creativity rather than replacing it entirely. In the very first part of the introduction, I mentioned that the AI-generated videos are overflooded on the internet. And people are worried about losing their jobs or opportunities. But in this article, Bernard not only introduces the tech but also suggests a way to address nervousness during a time of technological upheaval.
The threat
- Skill Atrophy: When people rely on everything on AI, I am sure our unique technique will atrophy. Before the AI generation, a few years ago, we wrote emails, searched for documents, and created stories ourselves. However, when AI offers convenience, such as a personal assistant, people want to stick with it. They have been giving up their thinking.
- Lost values: When we decided to ask everything to AI, they replaced us. AI produces tons of results with low prices, and people lost their jobs. Because of AI's replacement, there will be no more investment in or education about art, and it will become narrow.
- Average result: We used to love the creativity and originality, but people decided to not create new things, and only use AI. Then the result is getting normal. If there is no more learning content for AI, then every result can look similar. We may lose our chance to make great.
The opportunity: Creativity 2.0
- Destroyed Barrier: People who don't have any skills to create videos can make their own videos with help from AI
- Automation of simple tasks: People can focus on storytelling and brainstorming for ideas while AI deals with repetitive, boring tasks.
- Historical precedent: When the camera was invented, there was fear that drawing would disappear, but a new era began with Impressionism. If this happens, AI can be a step toward a new jump.
In short, AI can't replace people's creativity, but it can be a powerful tool when used effectively.
How it applies to the mobile development industry
Like the AI-generated videos are overflowing on every platform, there exist tons of AI video creation apps. I would like to introduce two apps that represent them.
Captured from the official Sora Web
- Sora (OpenAI): they launched on the iOS App Store first, and in November 2025, they also launched on Android. This app is an official OpenAI app. You can put text to create a video. very easy to use, but the quality is not to be taken lightly.
- Aura AI: they change the text or the images to an AI video, and they offer diverse options. This app is basically free.
Impact on mobile development (specific areas):
As I mentioned before, the AI-generated video's quality is just average. It's not a special thing. But not everyone needs super great videos for their work. The small company doesn't need to hire a UX/UI designer because they can simulate their product using AI. Prototyping can be automated with an AI-generated video if the prompt is good.
My opinion
As a UX/UI design student, I have mixed feelings about AI. Part of me fears being replaced, but I also see it as an opportunity to improve my productivity. If I can master prompt writing and let AI handle repetitive tasks while I focus on developing strong concepts, I believe I can produce better work.
I believe this technology won’t matter because people already feel tired to watch AI generated videos. I think AI-generated video has benefits like being easy to create, allowing people to produce more, and reducing the need for boring, simple tasks, but it also has risks, such as privacy and security concerns and the risk of fake videos.
In my opinion, people search for human-made videos when they need specialized information. People have doubts when they watch AI-generated videos about whether they are real or fake. AI cannot fully replace human creativity. In movies, CGI helps bring imagination to life, yet live-action films continue to captivate audiences. Watching humans accomplish what seems impossible generates a thrill that no AI can reproduce.
So, will AI replace human creativity? After exploring AI video generators firsthand, my answer is no. AI can generate a hundred average videos in minutes, but it takes a human to create something that truly resonates—and that’s where our value lies.
